    `Cliche Based Editors', Richard C. Waters (Mitsubishi),
    ACM Transactions on Programming Languages and Systems,
    Vol 16 No. 1 (Jan 1994) p.102-150


It covers the ideas behind this type of editor and
compares some examples.
