I'm looking for a benchmark suite developed by H. Liu and M. Klerer at
New York Polytechnique and reported in SIGPLAN Notices 1988. I'd like
to get the source code for the C version (and the other languages as
well). The basic idea behind the benchmark suite was to have pairs of
small programs one of which presents the optimization opportunity and
the other has it done. Optimizations here are mostly source level
transformations. Since that time several other folks have done similar
programs--Preston Briggs did a set at Rice and Christopher Glaser has
done a set commercially (the Nullstone tests). Pointers to Liu's suite
of programs and as well as pointers to any others much appreciated.
