Summary: Looking for a BASIC to C translator
Keywords: translator, Basic, C, question
Organization: Humboldt State Univ (Arcata, CA) Natural Resources & Sciences

I have some BASIC code (DEC/PDP RSTS v8, if you can believe that: it
uses DEC's virtual arrays) that I'd like to convert to C. If anyone
knows of a translator (converter) that will do this, preferably free,
preferably unix, I'd like to know about it (or a more appropriate
newsgroup/listserv for asking about this.)

It doesn't have to be perfect: I just want to save some
typing/editing.

Alternatively, something that would convert RSTS BASIC to VAX BASIC,
or a Unix BASIC interpreter/compiler that would run RSTS BASIC code
would be helpful.

thanks.
