The new quarterly "Journal of Programming Language Design and
Implementation" will provide a unique forum for research in high level
language design and implementation. The Journal will present work of
practical relevance and disseminate knowledge obtained from experiment and
observation. The broad spectrum of topics covered by the Journal will

"Journal of Programming Language Design and Implementation" will also
present tutorial articles which review recent research in specific fields
relevant to the scope of the Journal and which incorporate significant
bibliographies. There will also be an editorial, a conference diary, and
book reviews in each issue.


Submission of Papers
--------------------
"Journal of Programming Language Design and Implementation" is a refereed
journal which aims for rapid publication of manuscripts. Machine readable
copy and submission via electronic mail are strongly encouraged. For
information, contact one of the editors.


The Journal is published by Chapman & Hall.
