I am pleased to report that Channel One, an excellent local BBS, has
agreed to keep copies of the comp.compilers archives. They are a large
multi-line BBS with gigabytes of interesting files and dialins for pretty
much every known kind of modem.

You can dial in and download the compilers archives at no charge, subject
to connect time limits. The people who run Channel One have put an
enormous amount of their personal time and money into running it, so I
encourage people who use it to sign up for memberships. They're not very
expensive; the least expensive membership costs only $25.

The comp.compilers files are in the "free download" conference, number 5,
so to get to them you type "J 5" after you log in.

Their phone numbers are:

+1 617 354 8873 2400 BPS, optional MNP5
+1 617 354 6155 19.2K Microcom MNP6
+1 617 354 5776 19.2 Hayes Ultra V.32/V.42b
+1 617 354 8077 19.2 Multitech MNP5/V.32
