Subject: Compiler Jobs at Sony Computer Entertainment (Foster City, CA)


1.) Compiler Engineer- gcc toolchain
Location: Foster City, CA


We looking for compiler engineers who are capable of upgrading,
enhancing, tuning, testing, documenting, and maintaining the GNU tool
chain targeted to the PS3. The relevant toolchain components include
Linux and Windows cross-development tools: compiler, linker, assembler,
binary utilities, and standard C/C++ libraries.


Qualifications:
Two-years recent experience working on GCC internals
Proficient in C and C++
Solid proficiency in basic code optimization
Understanding of inter-procedural and profile-directed transformations,
SSA, and high-level loop transformations
Familiarity with GNU assembler and linker and with shared libraries
Comfortable working in either a Linux environment or a Windows environment
Knowledge of the PowerPC architecture (desirable)
Must work well in a team environment, as well as independently
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in CS or similar discipline.

2. Compiler Engineer - Cg/C Compiler
Location - Foster City, CA


We're looking for compiler engineers to help build high-level shader
programming tools: compiler, linker, assembler, binary utilities, and
standard libraries.


Duties include bug fixing, maintenance, testing of shading language
compiler and tools, providing response to compiler user requests for
enhancements and improvements in the compiler.


Qualifications:
Two-years recent experience working on compiler internals.
Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
Solid proficiency in basic code optimization.
Comfortable working in either a Linux environment or a Windows environment.
Must work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in CS or similar discipline.
Experience with Cg or other high-level shader programming a plus.
