Job description: Senior compiler developer
Location: CA/MA
Responsibilities:


As a senior technical contributor in the compiler group, you
will be responsible for the design and development of the compiler for
use in the current and the future generations of MSA (Micro Signal
Architecture) and/or Intel Network Processors. Responsibilities
include applying state of the art compiler technology to bring out the
best of the system architecture in applications used in cell phones,
audio processing of consumer electronics, etc - small footprint and
high performance, and automatic parallelization of user code for
network processors. Tasks will include strong code-generation work as
well as front-end, optimization, debug, library and runtime support
design and implementation work. Expect to apply advanced compiler
principles, theories and concepts, to contribute to the development of
new technologies and to integrate and communicate information to
architects, QA's, customers, supports or other senior technical
staffs. You are expected to provide guidance and direction for
compiler team members in the development of their technical
capabilities, and grow the team 's capabilities.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's Degree/15+ years or Master's Degree/10+
years, or Ph.D. Degree/7+ years
Experience: Compiler development and performance tuning a
must; ideally in DSP compiler. A successful candidate must have a
proven track record of significant contribution to a successful
commercial compiler product. Experience with an entire product life
cycle from definition through software development, design,
implementation, quality assurance, release is required.
Desired: Codegen experience with embedded systems and cross
compilers.

As a compiler team lead/development manager in the compiler
group, you will be responsible for driving the compiler product
development from definition to delivery. Producs including compiler
for Intel MSA and IXP (Intel network processors)
architectures. Interaction with customers to support Intel compiler
products. People management. Coordinating with other internal/external
groups in product development. Expect to apply advanced compiler
principles, theories and concepts, to contribute to the development of
new technologies and to integrate and communicate information to
architects, QA's, customers, supports or other senior technical
staffs. You are expected to provide guidance and direction for
compiler team members in the development of their technical
capabilities, and grow the team 's capabilities.
