Some people collect butterflies and populate their homes with glass
cases filled with dead insects. I collect programming languages but
rather than fill my hard disk with demos and distributions I've decided
to maintain my collection as a weblog.

Most of the languages cited here are relatively obscure. Languages like
BASIC, C, COBOL, FORTRAN, LISP etc. don't appear. However, specialised
implementations may. Information listed at this point: Name, Link,
Platforms, DEAD/ACTIVE, Open/Closed Source, Language Family,
Link_to_Forum. Thanks to all who have commented, correcting the
citations. All assistance is appreciated.
