Contracting Opportunities at SGI in Java Compiler Group


Be part of a small and dynamic team at SGI Mountain View California
working on providing the JavaTM Software Development Kit on the SGI
IRIX/MIPS platform. Contribute to the HotSpotTM compiler efforts and in
porting and productizing the Java2v14. Additionally work on improving
the performance of GUI's. The overall project will be of 9-12 month
duration.


Minimum Qualifications or Musts:
    * MS/CS or equivalent
    * 1+ years experience developing compilers/runtimes for JavaTM
    * 2+ years experience with RISC instructions
    * 2+ years experience with Unix platform
    * 1+ years experience with the Java Platform
    * 2+ years being part of product engineering life cycle
    * Authorization to perform contracting work in the US


Desired Qualifications:
    * 5 years experience developing compilers/runtimes
    * Experience with HotSpotTM code base, specifically compiler
    * Experience with native kernel threads
    * Experience with porting code from Solaris to other platforms
    * Familiarity of using source code control systems
    * Experience working in a team.
