Thompson Technologies is seeking a Lead Research Staff Member or Senior
Engineer to provide technical leadership and contributions to the ongoing
development of an advanced C/C++ optimizing compiler and associated tools,
for a new DSP architecture tailored to low-power wireless communications.
The successful candidate will lead a team of researchers and compiler
engineers, focusing on the development and implementation of innovations in
compiler optimizations and scheduling techniques, for data and instruction
level parallelism. The candidate will have strong interaction with
application developers, processor architects, and hardware engineers,
influencing the architecture definition and evaluating the compiler/
architecture interaction. Seeking candidates at the Doctorate Degree Or
Equivalent Experience. Less than 10% travel required.


Salary 125-170K

Job Title: Compiler Developer


Job Description: We seek a senior engineer with experience in
developing compilers, assemblers, or linkers. You should be very
bright, creative, a self-starter, energetic and very talented. You
will develop compiler technology that is a key component of our very
fast database accelerator.


Responsibilities: Modify an existing compiler/assembler/linker as
necessary to support new functions or machine architectures. As time
permits, contribute to the development of other parts of the ANTs
database product.


Experience: C, C++ expertise (3 yrs) involved in major projects ·
Experience with developing a real world compiler, assembler, or
linker. On Solaris would be a big plus. Familiarity with SQL and/or
ODBC desirable..BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
background. Solaris/Sparc experience desired
